25 MILE ROUND TRIP
8 TO 10 TRIPS PER SHIFT. THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TWO SHIFTS A DAY.
SHIPPER/RECEIVER IS OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK 24/6.
$150 per trip.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver experienced in operating vehicles equipped with walking floor trailers. The ideal candidate will transport and unload bulk materials, such as agricultural products, waste, or recyclables, using walking floor technology. This position requires adherence to safety regulations, attention to detail, and excellent time management.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving and Operation:
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks with walking floor trailers over various distances.
Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Material Handling:
Load, transport, and unload materials using walking floor trailers.
Ensure proper distribution of loads to avoid overloading and ensure balance.
Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure roadworthiness.
Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any issues or malfunctions.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Customer Interaction:
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers during deliveries.
Address any customer inquiries or concerns courteously.
Qualifications and Skills:
Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with proper endorsements (e.g., Class A or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience operating trucks with walking floor trailers or similar equipment.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with walking floor technology and its operation.
Understanding of safe loading and unloading practices.
Knowledge of applicable DOT regulations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and remain seated for extended periods.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and time management.
