Special Needs Teacher

A special needs teacher, also known as a special education teacher, is an educator who supports students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum and achieving their full potential. To become one, you typically need a bachelor's degree in special education, a state-issued teaching license, and experience working with students with disabilities. The role requires patience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with families and other professionals, often involving creating and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
