Golf Course Spray Technician - Full Time

The Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club, a private family-oriented club located in one of the nation's fastest growing communities, is looking to grow its team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Make all fertilizer and chemical applications as directed by the superintendent to turf and landscape throughout both courses and around the clubhouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Read and understand all product labels and wear the prescribed PPE for each application

Have a basic understanding of selected herbicides, fungicides and insecticides

Currently have or be able to obtain a Florida pesticide license within 1 year

Follow all safety precautions to insure the safety of our staff and the environment

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Mathematics, for the calibration of spray equipment and proper application of products

Conversions, for liquid and area measurements

Computer skills for logging applications in a database Basic knowledge of turf-grass pest and their control measures

Communication skills consistent with working on a crew of over 30 employees

Follow safety guidelines to protect yourself, others and the environment from exposure to pesticides and fertilizers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Outdoors: on uneven terrain with close proximity to lakes and wetlands. Sun, wind, and temperature exposure may occur, handling of toxic substances on a regular basis.

SCHEDULE:

Monday 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Tuesday thru Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Fridays from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM

Every other weekend Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM
