Will train the right person as a Vision Therapist: You will be in one of the most interesting and rewarding specialties in eye care. You will be helping both children and adults with visual development and rehabilitation. You will be able to help people succeed in life by helping them to resolve their vision problems.

Opportunity to work one-on-one with children and adults, helping them overcome vision problems that interfere with reading, learning and other activities of daily living. Must love working with children and adults. Must be able to engage children in activities with full cooperation.

We are looking for someone who has a warm demeanor and is mature, reliable, an independent thinker, compassionate, has the ability to learn new material and enjoys learning new things.

While you are training as a vision therapist, you will be helping the front desk, answering phones and assisting with special projects, so computer experience is essential.

Office Hours are:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30 am-5:30 pm

Tuesday 8:30 am – 6:30 pm Friday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

Qualifications:

We are looking for a bright, energetic individual who loves to help people, is a fast learner, self-directed, well-organized and has good communication skills. This person will want to commit to an opportunity that offers tremendous job satisfaction - helping children to succeed when nothing else could, and helping adults who struggle with vision-based problems that affect their professional and private lives! Retired teachers, tutors and nannies are welcome to apply (but not required).

Because of the comprehensive training required, and to maintain consistency for our patients, we would like someone who is looking to make this career their next home and can be with us for at least five to 10 years, and longer. Starting compensation will be based upon level of experience with children, education, and will increase as the therapist gains experience.
