Auto Body Technician / Collision Repair (Pensacola)

A car dealership is looking for a Body Tech to restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. Uses hand tools and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as needed, and properly install new parts. Works with a variety of metals and plastics, as well as glass, electrical, and mechanical parts. Damaged vehicles must be repaired correctly so they will perform as designed, especially in subsequent collisions.

Job Requirements

Must have previous professional experience as an automotive body tech

Must be able to work independently without supervision

Working knowledge of shop equipment

Valid ID or Driver’s License

Duties and Responsibilities may include:

Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.

Fill depressions with body filler.

Remove damaged fenders, panels

Bolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment.

Straighten bent automobile frames.

File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.

Aim headlights, align wheels and bleed the hydraulic brake system.

Repair or replace defective mechanical parts
