Job Title: Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to provide personalized care for an individual with disabilities. The caretaker will assist with daily living activities, including walking, feeding, bathing, meal preparation, and exercise routines. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, be attentive to the individual's needs, and ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist the individual with daily personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

-Provide assistance with mobility, including walking and ensuring the individual is safe and supported during movement.

-Prepare nutritious meals based on the individual's dietary needs and preferences.

-Assist with feeding, ensuring the individual is eating regularly and staying hydrated.

-Facilitate daily exercise routines, including stretching, walking, or other physical therapy exercises, as prescribed or recommended.

-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, ensuring the individual’s comfort and well-being.

-Monitor and support the individual’s health and well-being, reporting any changes in condition or concerns to family members or healthcare providers.

-Provide companionship and emotional support, creating a caring and trusting relationship.

-Assist with household tasks, such as laundry, light cleaning, and organizing personal belongings.

-Adhere to any specific medical or dietary instructions provided by healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent required

-Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the individual’s unique needs and preferences.

-Ability to cook and prepare nutritious meals, catering to specific dietary requirements.

-Strong communication skills and ability to engage with the individual and their family members effectively.

-Physical ability to assist with mobility and engage in moderate physical activity, such as walking and exercising.

-A calm and positive demeanor with the ability to handle challenging situations sensitively and professionally.

Work Environment:

The role is typically home-based, with flexible hours depending on the needs of the individual. Some weekend or evening availability may be required. Physical activity such as walking, lifting, and assisting with movement will be part of the daily routine.
