This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below:Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors. Facilitate group therapy sessions. Advocate for patients' needs and rights in various settings. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for patients. Develop individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and goals. Administer medications and monitor their effects on patients. Provide therapeutic communication and support to patients and families. Monitor and document patient progress and changes in condition. Implement interventions to promote mental health and manage crises. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatments. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Participate in discharge planning and aftercare follow-up. Maintain professional standards and comply with regulatory guidelines. Engage in ongoing professional development and training in psychiatric nursing. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
