Accounting Manager (On Site) Miami, FL (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2811+Ponce+De+Leon+Blvd+Miami+FL+USA+33134) DescriptionTrax USA is looking for an Accounting Manager to join the team. This position will be essential to Trax's continued growth and support our operations globally. This is a supervisory position with a direct report and requires ability to mentor and coach. This role will collaborate and partner across departments, customers and our corporate office. Key Responsibilities

Perform accounting and internal control responsibilities in accordance with GAAP, SOX and company policy.

Manage and ensure accurate and timely financial records, including monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.

Lead SOX compliance process and reporting, liaising with corporate accounting and internal audit.

Collaborate with business heads and support the financial planning process.

Prepare journal entries as needed.

Responsible for defining and continuously improving standards & methodologies for accounting within the organization.

Reviews and analyzes monthly, quarterly and annual results in relation to budget and reviews/prepares reporting packages for senior management.

Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.

Responds to inquiries from senior management regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and other ad-hoc analysis.

Provides training to new and existing staff, as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of experience in a progressively expanding role in an accounting or auditing function.

2+ years of experience in team management or other leadership role required.

CPA and public accounting experience preferred.

Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and proficient with other Microsoft Office tools.

Proficiency with a large accounting ERP, a plus.

Displays professionalism and integrity.

Handling of confidential and sensitive information.

Thorough knowledge of financial and business principles, including GAAP, and an ability to grasp company specific financial policies and procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proactive and solution-oriented with the ability to think creatively.
