The SCCC Faculty Recruitment Office is seeking a Manager, Administrative Operations that will oversee office activities and services including the supervision of office staff to achieve maximum productivity and expense control. Develops procedures and policies for administrative activities, such as records maintenance, document preparation, mail distribution, reception, and other related internal operations. Department Specifics:

Manages the SCCC-recruitment mailbox for SCCC staff and general inquiries and/or processes related to SCCC research and administrative personnel and works closely with SCCC hiring managers (faculty and administration) for the successful completion of positions requests, and/or other personnel actions.

Works closely with HR Partners and SCCC hiring managers and leaders in all SCCC funded positions requests and personnel actions such as positions requests, resignations, transfers compensation changes and/or reclassifications, etc; maintains an up-to-date report of all actions/transactions for progress reports and for budget purposes.

Leads the SCCC Position Control Committee meeting to present positions requests for approvals, follow up on action items and appropriate level of approvals and communicate with all appropriate parties on next steps and/or action items.

Collaborate with Office Director and/or per request of SCCC Finance Office to provide relevant information for budget planning and/or TBAs reconciliations.

Coordinate regular meetings with SCCC main areas, works closely with HR to go over progress reports with appropriate leaders on pending approvals, personnel changes, posting/recruitment strategies.

May supervise one (1) Fte and manage the day-to-day performance (hiring, performance, termination of employee life-cycle)

Responsible for processing and/or overseeing visa sponsorship processes for new hires and/or current employees. This will include working closely with the Office of International Student and Scholar Services and the HR Immigration team as well as appropriate leaders to process and submit appropriate documentations, tracks progress, provides updates and/or follow up on datelines and visa expirations.

Keeps and/or supervises a current and up-to-date report on visa sponsorship and acts as liaison and central office for all SCCC visa sponsorships.

Responsible for processing and/or overseeing the onboarding/offboarding process for SCCC staff; works closely with appropriate SCCC offices, such as Office of Facilities, IT and SCCC Divisions to ensure new hires have the appropriate access/resources in their position.

Communicate with appropriate areas and use internal distribution lists to communicate of SCCC new hires and/or resignations.

Will work closely with the Director to enhance the onboarding experience for SCCC staff.

Support faculty members in the process of hiring/onboarding staff and guide them through SCCC internal processes from beginning to end.

May participate in SCCC faculty recruitment and onboarding as needed and/or special projects as requested per SCCC leadership.
