Description:

Balance bank accounts on a daily basis based on previous day and real-time activity. Update daily cash reports for activity and adjust forecasts accordingly.

Determine funding requirements for operations. Prepare wires with support required for approval and payment release.

Monitor foreign currency bank accounts and determine currency needs by coordinating with internal departments and/or branch offices, including buying/selling currencies as needed.

Coordinate fleetwide ship funding for 28 vessels, with more on the horizon, by communicating with the onboard Finance teams and vendors. Propose the most cost-efficient funding strategy and locations for ship funding.

Project cash inflows and outflows for 13-week rolling liquidity forecast. Consolidate cash flow reports from subsidiary/branch offices. Monitor and review variances.

Determine excess cash to be invested or prepaid to revolver.

Monitor bank activity. Research and resolve transaction discrepancies (miscellaneous debits/credits) with banks and/or internal departments. Handle bank account maintenance and inquiries.

Maintain accurate records of bank accounts including authorized signers, bank contacts, etc.

Analyze monthly bank charges and propose ways to reduce fees.

Prepare monthly accounting reports for general ledger posting.

Prepare internal and external auditor requests, including year-end confirmations.

Maintain proper debt service by managing scheduled repayments of principal, interest and fees and maintaining accrual calculations. Provide rate reset notifications and address inquiries from agent banks.

Maintain accurate records of hedge positions, including the coordination of audit documentation, execution of trade confirmations and input of trades into accounting system.

Communicate daily updates to senior management

Review, code and coordinate payment for Treasury related invoices.

Prepare Know-Your-Customer (KYC) documentation for banks upon request.

Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and work-related skills and experience.EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2-years experience in Treasury/Finance related position, administering cash reconciliations and forecasts, variance analyses or any equivalent combination of relevant education and work-related skills and experience.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Strong data analysis skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates understanding of basic finance principles, reconciliation and forecasting with ability to understand cost impacts. Intermediate level working knowledge of Excel to calculate advanced formulas and utilize financial functions. Basic level working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Good professional and interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with internal and external clients to accomplish goals. Ability to handle multiple tasks and possess excellent organizational and record keeping skills. Ability to produce accurate results within tight deadlines.
