Position Summary

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in daily operations by supporting the General Manager, leading the team, and ensuring that every order meets Graze Craze’s high standards. This role involves hands-on food preparation, creative board building, customer service, and managing store responsibilities including opening/closing, inventory, occasional deliveries using a company vehicle, and assisting with marketing when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Managerial

Assist with opening and closing procedures.

Follow all opening and closing checklists.

Perform full closing duties, including sweeping and mopping floors and preparing the store for the next day.

Lead and motivate the team.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and brand standards.

Ensure food safety compliance.

Support inventory management and ordering.

Adapt to rushes, changes, and customer needs.

Represent the brand during offsite catering set-ups.

Customer Service

Provide friendly and courteous service.

Take orders via phone and POS system.

Communicate professionally with clients.

Resolve issues with a positive attitude.

Food Prep & Board Building

Prep meats, cheeses, produce, and dips.

Build charcuterie boards and boxes.

Maintain exceptional presentation and detail.

Demonstrate creativity in arrangements.

Marketing Support

Assist with marketing tasks such as community outreach, flyers, social media prep, or partnerships.

Marketing experience is helpful but not required.

Willingness to learn basic marketing tasks is appreciated.

Additional Duties

Assist with deliveries using a company vehicle.

Support offsite catering.

Work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Perform additional tasks as directed.

Required Skills & Qualities

Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Upbeat personality and strong communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Creative and detail-oriented.

Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic.

Basic POS proficiency.

Can stand for long periods and lift 30 lbs.

Willingness to learn light marketing tasks when needed.

Preferred Experience

Food service, catering, or hospitality experience.

Leadership or supervisory experience.

Marketing experience is a plus but not required.

Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle.
