Commercial Construction Field Project Manager

General contractor specializing medical facilities, restaurants, offices, shopping centers and interior build-outs. We are rated as one of the top 25 general contractors in Jacksonville and are looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager!

Construction Project Manager Requirements:

MUST HAVE 5 years Commercial Project Manager experience in construction for immediate start

Applicant should be knowledgeable in all phases of commercial construction

Should have 5 years minimum construction management experience

Applicants MUST have extensive knowledge of construction process and have worked as a Construction Project Manager for a building or general contractor

Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

Understand and oversee multiple concurrent construction projects from start to finish

Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed

Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities

Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project

Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule

Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project

Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.

Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards

Periodic inspection of construction sites

Ensure project documents are complete

Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims

Construction Project Manager Additional Requirements:

High organizational skills and file management

Good understanding of MEP building systems

Good client management and goodwill building ability
