On-Call Museum Art Installer

About Us: Naples Art Institute is a vibrant cultural institution dedicated to showcasing diverse artworks and fostering creativity in our community. We are currently seeking an On-Call Museum Art Installer to assist with the installation of temporary exhibitions and special projects on an as-needed basis.

Position Overview: As an On-Call Museum Art Installer, you will play a vital role in bringing our exhibitions to life by assisting with the safe and precise installation of artworks. This position allows you to contribute to our museum's mission in combination with other activities and job opportunities. Ideal for skilled, art-loving individuals seeking supplemental income.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in the transportation, handling, and installation of artworks for temporary exhibitions and special projects.

· Collaborate with museum staff to execute installation plans and ensure artworks are presented according to exhibition requirements.

· Follow established art handling protocols and safety procedures to protect the integrity of the artworks and maintain museum standards.

· Provide support during exhibition preparations, including gallery setup, labeling, and documentation.

· Assist with de-installation processes as needed, including artwork removal, packing, and storage.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in art handling, exhibition installation, or related field required.

· Knowledge of art handling techniques and familiarity with installation tools and equipment is a plus.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

· Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to changing project timelines and schedules.

· Physical ability to lift and maneuver artworks and installation materials, work from ladders, as well as perform tasks requiring standing and bending.
