Senior Staff Attorneys, Technical - REMOTE
District of Columbia, Washington 00000 Washington USASenior Staff Attorneys – Technical focus, Remote for top tier global law firm client.
This is a client facing role and can be based in DC, NY, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palo Alto or Boston. Candidates can work remotely but must live within commuting distance to one of the offices listed, and be an active member of the bar (DC, NY, MA, CA).
This role is responsible for liaising with the eDiscovery, AI, and Information Governance practice group supporting large litigation, investigatory, and regulatory matters in the discovery phase.
Experience as a PM or data analyst with a large eDiscovery vendor helpful.
Responsibilities: Coordinate with internal practice teams to ensure that case-specific eDiscovery processes are implemented, and milestones are met. Facilitate communication between the Staff Attorney department and the associates and partners responsible for the case.Work directly with clients and case teams to identify and manage structured data within various data warehousing infrastructures. Work with the firm’s litigation support group and eDiscovery vendors to support document preservation, collection, and processing efforts.
Position Requirements: A JD from an accredited US law school or equivalent. Relevant technical certifications are ideal. At least five years of eDiscovery experience in AMLAW 100 or 200 firm, eDiscovery consulting background, working on large matters at all phases of the EDRM. Current good standing in the DC, NY, MA, or CA Bar. Entry-level programming and data manipulation skills using SQL is required. Experience with Python is desired. Experience with, and understanding of, data warehousing infrastructures, particularly schema-on-read infrastructures such as Apache Hive, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, or Google BigQuery. Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and strong service orientation. Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to work OT and assist with deadline intensive projects. Working knowledge of e-discovery document review projects and typical workflows. Significant experience with on-line document review systems such as Relativity, Nuix Discover, or similar. Experience working directly with client technical and product SMEs to identify relevant structured data. Salary is commensurate with experience $150k - $175k and generous benefits.
