Position Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated person to engage with our dogs and ensure they are well-cared for during their stay at Happy Paws. In this role, you will provide enrichment activities, care, and cleaning duties for our canine guests to ensure they are happy, healthy, and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Enrichment Activities: Engage dogs in a variety of activities that stimulate their mind and body, including playtime, interactive toys, and socialization with other dogs. Tailor activities to each dog’s individual needs and preferences.

Dog Care: Ensure the overall well-being of the dogs by providing basic care such as feeding, administering medication, and assisting with any specific needs.

Maintain Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize dog areas, including kennels, play areas, and outdoor spaces. Ensure that the facility remains safe and hygienic for all dogs.

Monitor Dog Behavior: Observe dogs for any signs of stress, anxiety, or discomfort and take appropriate action. Ensure each dog is comfortable and happy during their time at Happy Paws.

Provide One-on-One Attention: Offer individualized care and attention to each dog, providing extra time and support for dogs with special needs or specific behavioral concerns.

Collaboration: Work with other team members to ensure seamless care for all dogs, including coordinating care routines and keeping detailed records of the dogs' behavior, activities, and progress.

Safety & Well-Being: Ensure a safe environment for all dogs during their enrichment activities and daily routines and monitor their physical and emotional health.

Open Shifts: 6:30 am -12:00 noon Monday - Friday
