Dental Hygienist Needed

We are a new, boutique dental practice in downtown DC seeking a dental hygienist 3-4 days/week

Duties:

- Perform dental cleanings and oral hygiene treatments for patients

- Take dental x-rays and perform iTero Wellness Scanning as needed

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions

- Administer local anesthesia as needed

- Conduct periodontal charting and assist with periodontal treatments

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures as needed

- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories

- Help with office duties and sterilization

- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health systems, and patient assessment techniques

- Proficiency in using dental software programs. Our office uses Open Dental

- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus

- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health practices

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
