In this vital role you will lead and coordinate the operational delivery of key global processes and systems. Your delivery will drive the ability to engage with our supplier network though vendor onboarding, enablement and the purchase order creation process. This global leader will be responsible for providing oversight and direction to direct staff, as well as to our offshore third party BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) partner who supports the delivery of these activities. This role will be a key member of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Extended Leadership team, responsible for helping to meet the annual organizational goals as well as supporting the multi-year functional roadmap.As a Senior Manager Finance you will:

Lead a distributed team on all end-to-end operational delivery of RTO, Vendor Master and Supplier Enablement activities.

Drive quantitative and qualitative performance to defined metrics and Service Level Agreements; Take action when required to ensure stable, consistent and compliant operations.

Provide operational direction to the teams and their 1st line managers performing these across the team (Internally and at our offshore third party).

Prioritize and managing resource deployment to deliver on the key global Procure to Pay priorities.

Develope functional goals into measurable metrics and specific actionable objectives for the team.

Partner with key customers within in P2P, the business and supplier network to understand improvement opportunities, make recommendations, and drive project implementation.

Support training activities within P2P and to end users to ensure latest and industry standard methodologies are being observed and applied.

Support various operational improvement and ground-breaking projects that will enable greater efficiency within P2P and across Amgen.

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR

Master’s degree and 6 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Finance, Procure to Pay or other relevant business process oversight / management experience

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.Preferred Qualifications:

Tenured experience with progressive finance / accounting / business process ownership experience

Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience

Detail oriented and strong business analytical skills

Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence personnel across functions and levels

Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and help their team operate successfully a dynamic environment

Ability to think strategically

Ability to apply independent judgment to resolve operational or process issues / exceptions when they arise in a timely and compliant manner.
