Children & Youth Services’ Karasik and Family, Infant & Child Care Center has vacancies for full-time Child Care Teachers and Assistant Teachers interested in working in a unique, fully inclusive Child Care Center supporting preschool children with special health care needs and disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and implementation of the classroom program.

Immediate Openings:
1. Full-Time Child Care Associate Teacher
Pay Rate: $18.57 – $19.51/hr (depending on education and experience)
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma plus 90 clock hours (45 hours Curriculum & 45 hours Child Development); OR high school diploma plus CDA and one year of relevant experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to lift and carry independently up to 25 lbs
Ability to withstand prolonged standing/walking and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
2. Full-Time Teacher Assistant
Pay Rate: $18.12 – $19.04/hr (depending on education and experience)
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum age 18
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Successful completion of pre-employment medical exam and TB testing
Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to lift and carry independently up to 25 lbs
Ability to withstand prolonged standing/walking and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
3. Full-Time Child Care Teacher
Pay Rate: $23.11 – $24.18/hr (depending on education and experience)
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or Child Development; or high school diploma plus 60 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or Child Development
One year of relevant experience.
Successful completion of pre-employment medical examination and TB testing.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills.
Ability to read and write in English and have a good understanding of the English language.
Ability to lift and carry independently up to 25 pounds.
Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing or walking, and frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing.
4. Part-Time Substitute Teacher Assistant
Pay Rate: $17.65/hr
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old
Some experience working with children
Pre-employment medical exam and TB test required
