Package Producer, AM

The Package Producer (AM) will produce a daily, DC-based, news-of-the-day package for nationwide affiliate newscast use. The AM Package Producer's primary shift will be 2:00am – 10:00am Monday through Friday. This position will also include longer shifts and weekend shifts when warranted by breaking news. Responsibilities:Work with Correspondent and Editor to provide daily AM package  Gather elements for package production (identifying video, sound, elements)Create daily script shell and item templatesWriting support for correspondent in response to breaking news and developing storiesRespond quickly to breaking news and pivot to include in daily package offerMonitor and implement NBC News Standards/Rights & Clearance guidance in package offerCoordinate daily AM reporter live shots – update booking sheets and flag correspondentOversee publication of package item to Orbit
