We are excited with all that the future holds for our industry, planet, and communities.The Director of Nuclear Partnerships is a strategic role within Ameresco’s Federal and Utility Solutions Business Unit, aimed at spearheading the company's entry into the nuclear energy market, with a particular focus on Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology. This position is responsible for identifying and securing strategic partnerships, conducting due diligence, and networking within the nuclear industry and relevant Federal agencies to establish Ameresco as a leading EPC partner for SMR projects.Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategies to identify, target, qualify, and secure partnerships within the nuclear energy sector, emphasizing SMR technology.

Perform high-level analysis to evaluate potential technologies and partners, aligning Ameresco with the most promising opportunities.

Build and maintain extensive networks within the nuclear industry, including the Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of Energy (DOE), to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.

Collaborate with business development leads and other internal stakeholders to promote Ameresco’s capabilities and secure new projects.

Represent Ameresco at key industry conferences, meetings, events, and workshops.

Forge strategic partnerships to enhance Ameresco’s market position and expand the sales pipeline focused on emerging nuclear technologies.

Coordinate with project development teams to ensure successful project development, strategic positioning, and preparation of winning proposals.

Ensure project development aligns with customer objectives and Ameresco’s strategic goals.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant nuclear energy contracts, including DOE and other Federal contracting mechanisms.

Stay informed about key Federal policy matters and industry developments, collaborating with Government Relations and Public Policy as needed.

Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sustainability, economics, finance, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, strategic analysis, or project management within the nuclear industry.

Ability to review confidential US security information.

Additional Qualifications:

MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to pre-qualify customer value.

Exceptional financial planning, budgeting, organizational, and resource management abilities.

Excellent verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills.

Self-starter with the ability to independently identify and pursue new opportunities.
