Construction Inspector
District of Columbia, Washington, 20001 Washington USAAECOM is currently seeking an experienced Construction Inspector for an exciting capital construction project with a federal client in the DC Metro area. AECOM is operating as an Owner's Rep to the client.
 This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Responsible for supporting a construction management team to deliver capital construction projects for US Federal Government ClientsResponsible for coordinating, and administering a group of projects or one major project with the assistance of the project teamReviews contracts, scope documents, and available data for the project, and confirms compliance with work completed by the general contractorSupports an integrated project team approach in working with designers, contractors and governing agenciesReviews and comments on design submissions, change orders, and contracts/sub-contracts, and represent the client interests to ensure control of and validate change orders are current, fair and efficiently processed.Reviews comments received from governing agencies on behalf of the client and coordinates timely resolutionsResponsible to proactively monitor critical project milestone dependencies, and track actions which may result in risks to critical project milestonesReviews project key performance indicators and forecasts any modifications to schedules, cost estimates, and financial reports, and effectively reconciles risks to commitments that may exceed assigned schedules and budgetsMonitors and controls contractual commitments to assure work being performed is in accordance with the specifications and terms of the contractsReviews builder submittals and RFI documents, and provides field surveillance to ensure specified quality of designConducts project coordination and client meetings as necessary to review progress and discuss upcoming workWorks with stakeholders to negotiate and resolve conflicts, disputes, and potential claims on behalf of the client
