Apply today to become a part of a our team that is dedicated to protecting children from abuse and neglect, while preserving families when possible!DESCRIPTION OF WORKA Social Services Aide 1 provides a variety of services and support for the smooth operation of the Washington County Children & Youth Department. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Transportation - scheduling, planning and transporting children, parents and/or families to court hearings, parenting/placements or appointments
Visitation - scheduling, planning, and supervising parent child visitation
General Services - assisting and supporting agency Casework staff in the delivery of mandated, court ordered and/or planned services
Record Maintenance - maintaining reports and case records.
This position will automatically progress to a County Social Services Aide 2 after completion of one year of service at an hourly rate of $19.47 ($37,966.50/yr).Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.How to Apply:
