The Content Strategy and Analytics Manager will produce CSET’s newsletter, oversee CSET’s content analytics strategy and production, and work closely with CSET researchers to generate timely and informative content to further mission and impact. CSET is a research organization focused on studying the security impacts of emerging technologies, supporting academic work in security and technology studies, and delivering nonpartisan analysis to technologists and policymakers. CSET currently focuses on artificial intelligence, advanced computing, and biotechnology. The Content Strategy and Analytics Manager will report to the Director of Communications and Strategic Engagement and will be responsible for:

Produce policy.ai, CSET’s newsletter on newsletter on artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and security policy.

Manage the production of quick-turnaround content, developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive content strategy aligned with CSET’s mission, culture and goals.

Identify key topics, formats, and channels for content distribution, collaborating with colleagues to translate complex ideas into accessible content and ensuring consistent messaging and branding.

Lead the development and maintenance of an internal analytics framework to measure content performance across CSET’s digital platforms, analyzing data, deriving insights, and communicating recommendations

Manage quick-turnaround content publication schedules, processes and workflows, and strategic outreach to maximize engagement with key audiences.

Manage CSET’s social media strategy, crafting, posting, and maintaining coherent and consistent narratives about CSET’s work and enhancing audience understanding and engagement.

Collaborate with key members to form a comprehensive production and marketing strategy, utilizing data and feedback to refine content strategies and outreach efforts.

Build necessary skills across teams to improve the quality and timeliness of quick-turnaround content through trainings, job aids/guidance, and brownbags.

Uphold CSET’s mission, values, and culture, performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

3+ years experience in content production, ideally policy-oriented

5+ years experience in social media management

Proven experience in content strategy, analytics, and public engagement within a research or policy environment

Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and interpret data-driven insights

Excellent writing and editing capabilities, with a keen understanding of the policy landscape

Ability to work collaboratively with research teams and external affairs personnel to align content with organizational goals

Ability to work successfully in a collaborative matrixed/multi-disciplinary environment

Motivated, enthusiastic, intellectually curious and self-driven

Alignment with CSET’s mission, values and culture

Ability to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Work Mode DesignationThis position has been designated as Hybrid 2-3 days per week​. Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$66,783.00 - $126,720.23Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
