NEW EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEERING OPPORTUNITY SUPPORTING HIGH LEVEL AUTOMATED MACHINERY FOR PRODUCTS IN AN R&D ENVIRONMENT FOR A TOP COMPANY IN THE STATE OF CTJOB DESCRIPTION:

Position is an individual contributor focused on supporting the electronic machine controls for new product development in welding machines, portable machine tools as well as high pressure testing applications.

The engineer should understand product requirements and be capable of designing, testing, and validating a solution with the product development team members.

The person shall be able to work in a cross functional product development team to ensure all product features and functionalities are defined, designed, documented, and validated in meeting customer/market requirements with a focus on schedule as well as meeting project budgets.

The person shall have skills in embedded system design, proficient in C/C

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Write control software for motor controls

Making modifications to existing firmware/software

Developing new software releases dealing with customer issues and product performance enhancements.

Search out replacement components due to the obsolescence of the original components.

Interface with product development team & clients to develop requirements

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

BSEE degree or equivalent degree in Math/Sciences and extensive proficiency in software engineering. MSEE preferred.

5-10+ years experience in software design (C preferred) in a manufacturing environment.

Familiar with working in a project-oriented environment capable of taking a project from concept to finished product as directed.

Nice to Have:

Five Proficient in CAD programs (SolidWorks and/or Inventor preferred) and all Microsoft Office applications. oriented with a focus meeting deliverables.

Experience in digital and analog circuitry design
