Connecticut, Wilton, 06897 Wilton USAJob Title: Engineering TechnicianJob DescriptionAssemble and test complex mechanical/electrical systems in a cleanroom environment. Support process improvements, engineering testing, lean initiatives, and quality improvements.Responsibilities
Produce products in accordance with established specifications.
Observe and report ongoing problems in product construction or operation.
Support solutions for identified problems.
Contribute to product and process improvements.
Manufacture and deliver high-level, complex systems as per established procedures.
Solve technical problems that arise during production.
Set an example for team members and oversee the assembly through to testing.
Act as a reference source for problem-solving within your area of expertise.
Actively contribute to pilot production and transition to volume production.
Develop and improve TPD, processes, records, and other relevant topics.
Investigate the impact of new procedures on the production process before implementation.
Propose constructive ideas for product improvement.
Acquire sufficient knowledge of new and established products, processes, and systems.
Pass on relevant expertise to team members.
Support teamwork by seeking solutions and implementing departmental tasks.
Coordinate activities as per the production plan and monitor the practical situation.
Closely control the use of tools, materials, and equipment.

AS or BS Degree preferred (Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemical) or equivalent experience. Degree not required, willing to consider manufacturing/technical experience too.
Manufacturing Internship or Co-Op experience
Lean Manufacturing Training (e.g., Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, etc.) preferred
Mechanical skills
Work EnvironmentWork in a cleanroom environment with multiple shifts available: 2nd Shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm, Mon-Fri, +10% shift differential), 3rd Shift (10:00pm to 6:30am, Sun-Thurs, +15% shift differential), CWW Days (D1 & D2) and CWW Nights (N1 & N2) with daily overtime. Training for all shifts will take place over 2 weeks on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm).
