Kitchen Staff - Full or Part Time

Located at the crossroads of Litchfield County, Warren General is a destination spot for good food, staple and specialty grocery, and customer service with a big heart in a small town.

We offer breakfast, lunch and wholesome prepared foods, bakery and dessert items, produced in house with a focus on quality and taste in everything we do and serve.

We’re currently looking to hire full or part time breakfast and lunch cooks and kitchen staff. The menu consists of hot breakfast sandwiches, hot and cold lunch sandwiches, salads, specialty items and prepared meals to go. Full and/or part time positions thatmust be available weekends. Starting pay dependent on experience.

Requirements

Prior customer service, food preparation, and/or deli experience.

Enjoys working and helping customers in a fast paced environment

Weekends and some holidays are required

ServSafe certified a plus, will be required within first month of work

Responsibilities:

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

Prepare food and menu items for service

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Must follow standardized recipes as written to produce consistent results of product

Ensure that food is prepared efficiently, in high quality and in a timely fashion

Complete the assigned production schedule within allotted time frame.

Make recommendations for improvements in all phases of food handling and production.

Ensure all cooking and food storage areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition.

Assist in ordering and stocking inventory appropriately

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach in the workplace and around coworkers and customers
