About Foxfire Mountain House

Established in 2016 by co-founders Eliza Clark and Tim Trojian, Foxfire Mountain House is celebrating its 9th year in operation. From its inception, our venue has focused on crafting one-of-a-kind experiences for our clientele, offering everything from intimate weekend escapes to extravagant wedding celebrations. We've garnered media attention for our distinctive design, culinary offerings, and signature wedding events. We're extremely excited to be opening our second location, Lost Fox Inn, by late-June 2024.

Porter/Prep Cook Responsibilities Include:

- Work under the direction of the Head Chef and Sous Chef

- Ensure the kitchen, including all workstations, equipment, and storage areas, is clean and organized.

- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.

- Sweep and mop floors, and dispose of trash regularly.

- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and storing.

- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all items are checked for quality and stored correctly

- Support chefs and other kitchen staff in their duties as required.

We're Looking For a Candidate Who Has:

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.

- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

- Must be able to bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds

- Ability to work cleanly and efficiently

- Must be authorized to work in the US

Opening Schedule (Approximate):

- Friday 3:30pm-10:30pm

- Saturday 3:30pm-10:30pm

- Sunday 3:30pm-10:30pm

- Monday 3:30pm-10:30pm

Compensation & Benefits:

- $22/hour
