The Valley Chordsmen have been spreading harmony for 77 years, creating a rich tradition of music, friendship, and community service. We are an energized group of passionate singers who are ready to be challenged, inspired, and pushed to reach new musical heights. As our Music Director, you’ll:

Lead and Inspire: Direct all regular and special rehearsals, as well as public performances

Shape the Sound: Collaborate with our music team to select music, and elevate our musicality

Grow and improve the Chorus: Audition new singers, coach quartets, and develop assistant directors

Drive Success: Prepare the chorus for community performances and competitions

Stay Sharp: Attend Barbershop Harmony Society training to enhance your skills

We’re looking for a dynamic Music Director who:

Has experience directing choruses or vocal ensembles (barbershop experience is a plus)

Can motivate and challenge singers of all skill levels

Brings strong organizational and communication skills to lead rehearsals effectively

Shares our commitment to harmony, fun, and community outreach
