Solid-State Characterization Scientist
Connecticut, Groton, 06340 Groton USAAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Crystallization Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of crystallization processes for pharmaceutical and chemical products. This role offers hands-on laboratory work, problem-solving, and collaboration in a dynamic environment.What You’ll DoDesign and perform laboratory experiments to support crystallization process development, including solubility screening, kinetic solubility, and metastable zone width measurements.Conduct small-scale crystallization experiments and analyze results.Generate solid-state characterization data using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD).Analyze product samples for physical properties such as particle size distribution and shape using optical microscopy and laser diffraction.Assist with technical initiatives, including the design, installation, and maintenance of specialized lab equipment.Maintain accurate records in electronic laboratory notebooks and manage data using relational databases and spreadsheets.
