In this Sr. Staff Accountant role, you will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller to assist in a broad array of accounting duties. Typical duties for the Sr. Staff Accountant will include preparing journal entries, assisting with the monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, maintaining fixed asset and depreciation schedules, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits and assist with special projects as needed. Our Client is specifically seeking candidates who would be promotable into a Management position within the near future. What you get to do every day
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Periodically maintain and reconcile the general ledger
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
3+ Years of related career experience in either public or corporate accounting
Knowledge of US GAAP
Experience with general ledger reconciliation, preparing journal entries and assisting in the month-end close process
Experience with General Ledger systems
Intermediate MS Excel skills
