A Houseperson is a person that secures a property after departure, strips all trash and dirty linen, and leaves the clean linen. Having the first eyes on a property after a guest departs, they report damages and other work orders. This ensures that all our properties are safe and ready for the next step. We get to problems well before a guest arrives allowing the entire company to be more successful in their customer service. Maintenance has time to fix issues before guest arrival, Front Desk and Owner Services do not have to explain away our mistakes, and it gives us time to deliver needed inventory items or clean dirty carpets before guest arrival. Ensuring our guests will have clean linen to use during their stay.
Houseperson Responsibilities include:
Make sure properties are up to SummitCove Standard Property Appearance at all time
Reporting of work orders such as needed light bulbs, firewood, carpets that require cleaning, properties found clean, and lost and found items
Checking every window and thermostat, every time
Timely reporting of damages or pets (including smoke odor)
Mattress encasement installation
Linen bag packing & unpacking
Kit packing
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
Carpet cleaning by request
Cleaning by request
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices

Qualifications
Previous guest service experience – Preferred
Previous houseman or janitorial experience- Preferred
Driver's License - Required
Able to walk up and downstairs with or without linen bags- Required
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Required
Able to stand for long periods of time in excess of 2 hours without sitting - Required
Able to walk safely in areas containing water, ice, and snow -Required
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance - Required
High school diploma – Preferred
