Construction - Residential Elevators
Colorado, Denver, 80221 Denver USAI'm looking for someone that is good with mechanical and electrical things, but maybe couldn't/didn't want to go to college. Maybe you've been working construction type jobs, and are ready to up your game and pursue a career.
This is an opportunity to learn on the job to become a residential elevator technician. Technicians need to have strong backs (we are moving elevators around), good skills with tools, an ability to learn electrical diagrams, and mechanical schematics. Additionally you need to be able to pass a background check (we go into people's homes), have a Driver's License and a reliable vehicle. We do have company trucks for moving the big stuff around and getting up into the mountains.
This is for you if you are used to working jobs that require you to do physical labor and enjoy the math of putting things together and trouble shooting.
This is a road job where you'll be traveling throughout the Front Range, and sometimesWyoming and Utah. Travel would be about 50%-70% of the time. We work during the week, and unless it's a special circumstance, get you home on the weekends. With out of town travel, timing can be a little flexible. Since this work is strenuous and takes you on the road, if you need a day off, just ask. We're humans, not machines.
Job would begin by being an assistant to a qualified elevator technician. As you progress your skills and knowledge your pay will go up when you are able to do 1) maintenance checks on your own, 2) repairs on your own and/or 3) parts of the installations on your own. Pay is $35-$40 for qualified elevator technicians.
We install high-end residential elevators, dumbwaiters, vertical platform lifts, and stair lifts. We also service Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors for a large commercial customer across the Front Range. The pay rate is higher while servicing these units.
We have a small crew of employees that help each other out. This is a family run business. The locations we work are often stunning. We help people to stay in their homes and that provides a sense of meaning.
