Lead Manager Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Brighton)
Colorado, Denver, 80221 Denver USABusy Construction and Utility Company looking for a Lead management shop/field Mechanic.
Metro Denver area.
This is a lead management position, if you do not have the experience listed below, please do not apply.
DUTIES: Include the following and other duties may be assigned as needed, but not limited to these duties
1. Performs service, repairs to Komatsu, Hitachi, and CAT excavators and all types of construction equipment.
2. Performs service, repairs and maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers in accordance with Department of Transportation and company policies, standards, and codes.
3. Follows our company safety rules: utilizes protective clothing and equipment, reports safety hazards and incidents to supervisor.
4. Coordinate and attend safety/productivity meetings.
5. Completes required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
6. Reviews, completed repairs as identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and work orders.
7. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
8. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
10. Repair end dump hydraulic systems.
11. Repair and diagnose repairs on following engines, CAT and CUMMING's, various construction equipment engines.
12. Repair and replace brakes, lights, and all preventive maintenance needed for our semi fleet of trucks.
13. Repair and replace 10,13, 18 speed transmissions.
14. Repair and replace clutches and all components of semi-truck drive train.
15. Welding exp.
16. Repairing of excavator hydraulics, cylinders, and different types of excavator attachments.
17. Engine swaps on semi-trucks, heavy equipment, and various types of construction equipment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Mechanic to manage 3-4 mechanics on staff. Decisions on processes, methods and work assignments are governed by defined procedures/instructions & Lead Mechanic.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s License. Service truck will be provided for daily shift and to take home. Must have 7+ years experience as a heavy equipment field mechanic.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 7+ years experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance/repair and crew management experience. A completion of accredited vocational technical school program.
SCHEDULE: M-F (Salary) - Day shift position
COMPENSATION: $35-40 per hour plus OT after 40hrs
(Includes company service truck during shift and to take home, Fuel card & Company cell phone)
