Paralegal (Family Law and Probate) wanted for Denver, CO Law firm, Part Time to Full-Time, 5+ Years experience preferred.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Paralegal with expertise in Family Law and Probate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of hands-on experience in managing cases, drafting legal documents, and supporting attorneys in family law and probate matters. This is a great opportunity for a skilled paralegal who is passionate about providing high-quality legal assistance in sensitive and complex cases.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of family law and probate cases, including divorce, child custody, guardianship estate planning, and estate administration.
- Prepare and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, petitions, and affidavits in accordance with court requirements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and assist in case strategy development.
- Maintain case files, organize evidence, and manage deadlines for hearings, trials, and filings.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel to provide case updates and ensure smooth progression of legal matters.
- Draft and review correspondence and legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Provide compassionate and professional support to clients during emotionally charged situations.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in family law and probate.
- Strong knowledge of family law and probate court procedures, including document preparation and filing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office and Google-Suite.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with clients facing sensitive personal matters.
