The field supervisor position is a working supervisor with several years of experience and knowledge of the HVAC trade. They are to be proficient at installation of various types of equipment and will manage people across multiple projects. Field supervisors are equipped with a company truck, company credit card and cell phone allowance. They are expected to use this truck to visit various jobs sites and deliver material and equipment as needed to keep their team supplied and productive. They are also expected to perform any additional tasks deemed necessary by leadership.

A key requirement of the field supervisor is to have a strategic plan for each project they are managing. This will include having a task and material list 5 days in advance for each week the project is active. This will be accomplished by anticipating the labor, material and various logistical needs throughout the course of construction. Progress reports must be provided either verbally, by text or by email daily to the Project Manager of each project. Additionally, they will be responsible for scheduling and managing manpower hours for their projects.

Flexibility is a requirement of this job. This includes the ability to re-prioritize labor schedules, material needs and/or unexpected urgent tasks that may need immediate attention.

Availability - They are expected to answer their phone and/or return calls within a reasonable time frame even if after hours. (this is NOT a 9-5 job)

Communication & Team Management - They are expected to manage their team. Including, but not limited to, attendance matters, filling paperwork with HR, lining up work schedules, clearly communicating schedules to the team as well as performance and production expectations. Also, they must daily review and approve their team’s timecards.

Motivation and morale - The field supervisors are expected to motivate their team and to continually work at improving efficiency and team morale. They are expected to pursue continuing education on management and leadership. They are expected to be the company’s stewards and represent CCML’s stated goals and values; thereby promoting a positive reflection of the company to both field personnel and to our customers.

Job Management - They will need to have constant communication with the office, (PM, Owners, HR) giving feedback of job status, labor hours, employee issues, job issues, etc.…

Customer Relations - Field supervisors will have direct contact with our customers in the field. They must present a clean and professional appearance to the customer. They are to ALWAYS be courteous and respectful. If any issues should arise, they are to keep management informed,
