The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing building electrical systems and supporting junior staff. The Engineer will be responsible for performing the technical calculations and design, understanding the project requirements and the effort required to complete the work and applying critical thinking to quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Electrical engineering from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy including writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.Be competent in all aspects of building electrical systems design for a variety of types of projects or markets to complete routing engineering assignments and calculationsWriting reports for internal and external purposes based on findingsStays current on codes and technologies appropriate for building electrical systems including power, lighting, telecommunications and fire alarm systems.Researches, develops, designs, specifies, and witnesses the testing of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering.Organizes and conducts site visits for the purpose of data collection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, components, and materials for projects with and without well-defined scopes of work.Coordinating with the client and multiple disciplines, acting as electrical engineer point of contact to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.Assist in proposal preparation and discipline plans that meet project requirements in conjunction with the senior leadership.Manage and work on multiple projects with other team members, acting as mentor and reviewer of work.Ensures discipline plans that are created meet overall project team requirements for project scope and scheduleReview team member's work for quality and recognition of training requirementsAttend and present to owners, clients and architects as needed.
