Colorado, Denver, 80221 Denver USAIT Infrastructure and Engineering Support AdministratorJob Category: Information TechnologyTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Continental USAnticipated Posting End: 1/31/2025CACI is looking for an IT Infrastructure, Windows OS or Linux Systems Engineer who will work within Development Environment IT operations, to support teams in using and operating applications, tools, and infrastructure for research and internal software and product development initiatives. This position will work within a support organization, focused on enabling teams and interfacing with other corporate support teams (I.e., Cyber, Networking, and Systems Engineering), to provide a foundation for work across programs using a mix of on-prem and cloud-based technologies. It is an opportunity to work with a strong senior level engineering team and to affect the way that we deliver customer facing solutions.As a member of the IT Engineering Operations team, you will do the following:
Support IT infrastructure for storage, virtual machines, and other specialty engineering equipment
Support Red Hat 8-9, Ubuntu Linux, Mac OS, and Windows systems
Provide application and infrastructure administration and support to core engineering tools and services for programs and teams
Serve shared infrastructure via virtualization (i.e., VMWare), containerization or other K8s platform management to various customers
Work with other teams to help resolve complex issues with systems that you do and do not manage
Assist and ensure teams are able to effectively deliver complex engineering and IT solutions
Work with cloud technologies such as AWS GovCloud and Azure
Utilize scripting such as kickstart, Python, and PowerShell
Utilize and support IT automation platforms such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Terraform
Perform patching and updating using tools such as Red Hat Satellite, Ubuntu Landscape, MECM
Work with centralized authentication such as Windows Active Directory, LDAP, Free IPA, and Centrify
Responsibilities:You will be part of a cross-country engineering support and operations team, that is responsible for helping project teams deliver on design, build, and secure internal and customer facing development and product or production environments.Required :
Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent experience AND minimum 2 years of related work experience.
Infrastructure and application administration in or using thick, container, or other hosting approaches.
Strong IT troubleshooting skills .
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
An understanding of Virtualization technologies, or Cloud, I.e.,
: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper V, OpenStack
Ability to communicate/collaborate well with other engineer support staff, and management both inside and outside or your immediate team.
Willingness to bring forth new ideas and to constructively challenge the status quo.
Ability to create documentation for users and support teams.
Engage vendors when necessary to resolve issues
Desired:
Understanding of Windows/Linux security, system baselining/hardening, endpoint security or exposure to government security standards (FARS, NIST, CMMC)
Ability to work well within a team, providing either collaboration and leadership.
