Description We are in search of a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team based in Denver, Colorado. This role will primarily focus on payroll processing while also assisting in various HR functions. The position is a long-term contract opportunity and requires a meticulous approach to work, hands-on experience with payroll processes, and diligence in following federal and state regulations.Responsibilities: Efficiently manage end-to-end payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing. Maintain and update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, deductions, job classifications, and job status changes. Work closely with the finance department to confirm and audit payroll data. Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and review of payroll systems. Manage all employee data records including timesheets, leaves, bonuses, and compensation changes. Assist HR Manager in the development, execution and recording of HR policies, procedures, and programs. Address employee concerns and queries regarding payroll and benefits. Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll, and employment laws and regulations. Complete necessary payroll forms and reports, including W2 forms. Collaborate with the Employee Relations team to ensure compliance with the Davis Bacon Act of 1931 and other relevant employment laws. Requirements Demonstrable experience in managing all HR functions including but not limited to Benefit Functions, Compliance, Employee Relations, Hiring Processes, Payroll Proficiency in using HR software, particularly Paylocity Thorough understanding of the Davis Bacon Act of 1931 and its implications on HR practices Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the overall business direction Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee and manage a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships at all levels within the organization Proven experience in managing employee relations issues effectively and efficiently Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for strategic data interpretation Familiarity with current HR trends and an ability to implement new strategies to improve organizational performance Advanced knowledge of labor law and HR best practices Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field Relevant HR certifications would be an added advantage.
