Educates and assists the public through knowledge of policy and procedure, ordinances and statutes, provides the public with general and/or explanatory information as well as answers questions without giving legal advice.

Enters fee/waiver data into computer and prepares various reports.

Processes documents, legal orders and other forms of information in accordance with court procedures, legal precedents or other procedures i.e. processes court cases returned from court and inputs the dispositions into the computer.

Maintains confidential records and information.

Communicates information and assistance to the public regarding all manner of topics but most commonly those related to the primary duties of the parking enforcement specialists.

Accounting Responsibilities:

Processes daily records/receipts and prepares daily sales reports following receipt of revenue collected from field operations and other parking activities.

Assumes physical control of money and engages in money counting activities using various tools (10-key calculator, electric coin counter, electric coin wrapper, cash register, and electric currency counter), according to established cash handling procedures.

Prepare financial institution deposit slips and other internal accounting financial records. Position further prepares daily sales reports, as assigned.

Citation Responsibilities:

Position operates the computerized parking citation system by entering information about parking citations, permits, and payments.

Records payments collected on behalf of the department by National Collections Management and at the request of management staff, researches requests from that office for additional information regarding accounts.

Sells permits and passports and answers questions from customers regarding parking policies, fees, permits, citations and the citation appeal process, as well as general information about the Auraria Campus, and therefore remains current on these policies and procedures.

Auditing of daily revenue sheets and completion and submission of daily parking sales report (DSR) to Business Services within the two working days.

Reconciliation of daily web payments and daily revenue receipts to bank deposits. Processing of third-party invoices for sales of general, special and handicapped permits, as well as special event tickets and miscellaneous events conducted by departments on campus. Preparation of parking purchase requisitions.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal RightsMinimum Qualifications:

Two (2) years of highly responsible and independent clerical experience in transportation administrative setting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
