Who knows where our shared journey will take you?Siemens Digital Industries is looking for an experienced Technical Business Developer for the US Federal Market with focus on the US Air Force to identify and develop markets/opportunities into successful solutions. The Federal Vertical is an expanding team that delivers solutions, products, and services for Federal customers who are automating infrastructure and equipment. This position supports the Federal Sales Vertical in developing strategic and midterm business strategies, structures, and processes, focusing options to exploit best market opportunities.The successful candidate will be able to pair knowledge of the Federal Market/Air Force with an advanced automation and digitalization centric portfolio of solutions, to drive sales, to establish customer preference, and to win specifications for Siemens in named national accounts in the Federal market for supporting the US Air Force. In addition, this position will be tasked with supporting pre-sales activities to develop new customer opportunities nationally. Furthermore, the role will be responsible for working in a matrix organization and coordinating with other groups including portfolio specialists, engineering, and the Siemens government community, to support the Federal ecosystem. The job will be measured on customer development and new sales to the Federal Government. The position reports to the Federal Vertical Sales Manager for the United States.We are looking for a Federal Vertical Technical Business Development Professional. This position will be based in Denver, Colorado.You’ll make an impact by:

Performs long range strategic planning and analysis and prepares summaries, and/or performs operational activities enabling the exploitation of (vertical and product) markets.

Performs project coordination in assigned projects and supplies technical details/information for the development of new strategies (Edge, AI, digital twin, etc. solutions).

Completes market and business research as well as competitor analysis.

Performs analysis of strategic Federal business segments.

Evaluates opportunities for new or existing Siemens products in new Federal markets, channels, or customer target groups.

Evaluates potential acquisition candidates and prepares project proposals.

Provides analytical/technical presales support for potential customers/projects.

Works with Federal Sales Team Account Executives to provided technical presentations/proposals to support sales activities.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in Technical Business Development representing a similar breadth of industrial portfolio.

8+ years of experience and broad knowledge of the production and manufacturing environments and key applications in US Air Force Depots/Bases and US Air Force (defense) suppliers.

Excellent understanding of customers, Federal market, business operations, and people.

Customer relationship effectiveness and demonstrated ability to develop effective marketing campaign and drive business through sales team.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/computer engineering or computer science.

Strong executive presence and communications skills to engage with customers’ senior leaders.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with direct and matrixed resources to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth.

Entrepreneurial mindset.Willing to take measured risk and demonstrate the ability to act with a sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

Defense Contracting Knowledge – e.g., IDIQ, BPA, SEAPORT, GSA, OTA, etc.

Experience in industrial automation and networking.

Acumen in new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twin, and/or Edge.

Advanced degree technical degree.

The pay range for this position is $88,340-$151,400 and the annual incentive will be 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
