POSITION SUMMARY

The AP Lead will manage the day-to-day accounts payable workflow for Payments and Customer Service. The ideal candidate will be an overachiever that frequently exhibits exceptional attention to detail, identifies and resolves issues, and has a sense of urgency. Reports to AP Manager and leads several members of the AP team. Candidates in this position must have these minimum attributes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

General Responsibilities

  • Aid in Improving our entire procure to pay process from requisition to payment through increased use of technology to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all processes
  • Review existing processes, structures, and systems with a focus on simplifying and standardization
  • Act as a point of escalation for Accounts Payable and ensure professional, accurate and timely remediation of issues
  • Direct management of specific portions of the monthly and annual accounts payable close process
  • Coach AP Staff and provide training and constructive feedback to enhance their work performance and assist in building a high performing team
  • Other duties as assigned

Payments

  • Ensure invoices are paid according to terms
  • Review vendor accounts for past due invoices, debit balances and review of duplicate payments
  • Ensure smooth conversion for vendors moving from check to electronic payment
  • Assist in streamlining payment process in key areas.

AP Customer Service

  • Manage high volume AP Customer Service inquiries, displaying a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, including resolving issues within SLA and influencing the resolution of issues when responsibility falls outside of Payables.
  • Manage the analysis of vendor statements and account reconciliations to anticipate issues, questions, and potential problems

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with key business partners, both internal and external
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • D365 and Medius experience preferred
  • Resourcefulness and an impulse to tackle problems and improve processes
  • Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and driving results

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable
  • 2 year of prior supervisor experience

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Denver area base salary range: $45,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
