Accounts Payable and job costing Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all accounts payable, invoices , job costing, budget tracking, vendor payables, materials tracking, and other financial functions for each division.

Additionally, the candidate will work closely with all divisions and Division managers, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and procedures

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently weekly and close out monthly.

- Manage job costing and budget tracking activities for all divisions.

- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments

- Monitor and track materials expenses and reconcile discrepancies

- Collaborate with various divisions and managers to support their financial needs

- Participate in weekly , month-end and year-end closing processes

- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial policies and procedures

- Assist in financial audits and compliance activities

- Work as part of a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals

Requirements:

- 3-5 years for Quickbooks online is mandatory

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus.

- 3-5 years Proven experience in accounts payable, job costing, and budget tracking

- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices

- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks online , Office and MS Excel

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external with managers , owners, clients and venders.

- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize

- Experience working in a collaborative team environment

- Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Accounts Payable Professional) is a plus
