Colorado, Colorado springs 00000 Colorado springs USALocal Commercial Roofing Company is looking for an In House Chief Estimator.
Minimum Requirements: 7 years of Commercial Roofing Estimating
5 years of Commercial Roofing Project Management
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Lives locally or willing to relocate to El Paso, Douglas, or Pueblo Counties
JOB DESCRIPTION for IN HOUSE CHIEF ESTIMATOR (without limiting):
Develop an Estimating team and process that generates $12M-15M in annual revenue with net profit goals of 13%
minimum.
Develop and Maintain an Estimating Bid Schedule.
Develop and Maintain a follow-up process on projects we have bid.
Review & Improve our current ITB form & process with 2nd tier subcontractors
Develop a database of Labor only Roofing Subcontractors, including compliance items and a process to be
maintained by the front office.
Develop and Maintain a database of Labor only Sheet Metal Subcontractors including compliance items and a
process to be maintained by the front office.
Develop and implement a process utilizing internal resources to Monitor all Websites & Services for new business
opportunities (ie. Bid Net, Rocky Mountain E=Purchasing, Sam.gov, The Daily Journal, Construct Connect, Dodge,
etc.).
Obtain all necessary Bid Bonds, at a minimum of 3 business days prior to bid day.
Develop a “Post-Award” Pre-construction / Turnover Process
Establish/confirm accurate COGS so we can accurately Bid Work in both Work that we will self-perform the labor
component, and when we subcontract the labor.
Ensure that all Mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walks are attended by candidate or an alternate employee. Update existing
Estimating Spreadsheet for accuracy improved function and ease of use and complete transfer of estimate into a job
cost budget. Field Measure of existing buildings as necessary to develop quality take-offs and estimates.
Procuring bid documents, review and submit questions within deadline given.
Research and Development as necessary to develop a quality estimate and written proposal.
Maintain current Manufacturer’s Material costs in estimate sheet.
Developing “Bid Day Estimates” for all work candidate is capable of delivering.
Developing professional, qualified, written proposals upon completion of estimates.
Completing bid forms accurately & submit all bids on time.
Obtain Bid results on all projects bid.
Project Management Assignments as needed.
Gross Salary: TBD based on experience
