Safety, Health & Environment Specialist

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment Specialist to support complex Oil & Gas and Remediation projects. This role plays a critical part in driving proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting project teams through planning, hazard analysis, and execution readiness. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in health and safety program development, HASP reviews, and stakeholder coordination to ensure safe and efficient project delivery across various project phases.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive Health and Safety Plan (HASP) reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and project-specific risk mitigation.Provide planning support during project development, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and control selection.Lead or support pre-field kickoff meetings, ensuring alignment on safety expectations, procedures, and mitigation strategies.Partner with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to integrate safety into project execution strategies.Monitor and interpret local, state, and federal safety regulations applicable to Oil & Gas and remediation activities.Develop and maintain safety documentation, procedures, and reports in support of project needs.Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.Support incident trend analysis and recommend corrective actions to minimize project risk.
