Looking for Full-Time Commercial Building Maintenance Technician in Longmont/Boulder, CO

Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Type: Office, Mixed-Use, Industrial, Medical, Retail

About the Role

We’re seeking a hardworking, honest, and professional Facilities Technician to join our small but dynamic team! In this critical onsite role, you’ll be responsible for supporting a commercial real estate portfolio. You’ll play a key role in keeping our properties running smoothly, ensuring tenants receive top-notch service, and maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.

We’re looking for someone amazing with a strong background in HVAC who can perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and handle a wide range of general building maintenance needs. A company van and some tools are provided, making your work efficient and rewarding. Competitive hourly rate and benefits provided.

Qualifications

o Strong communication, organization and follow-up skills

o Multi-tasking ability

o Strong familiarity and abilities with HVAC (to include filter-changing; generator tests and inspections; BAS systems); plumbing; electrical; security and access systems; painting; carpentry, etc

o Must have solid familiarity and skills with commercial office building systems, equipment, and mechanical rooms

o Their own tools

o Work vehicle provided (while onsite)

o Driver's License (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

o HVAC Expertise:

§ Perform regular HVAC preventative maintenance.

§ Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize HVAC systems.

§ Ensure all HVAC systems are running efficiently and reliably.

Facility Maintenance:

§ Manage small projects under general supervision.

§ Assist with coordinating schedules with vendors, security and company's internal resources.

§ Manage small vendors under general guidance when needed.

§ General maintenance of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and minor repairs.

§ Monitor and address building system performance and tenant concerns promptly.

§ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Tenant Support:

§ Respond quickly to tenant requests with professionalism and care.

§ Maintain excellent communication and build positive relationships with tenants.

Portfolio Management:

§ Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.

§ Assist with coordinating vendors and contractors as needed.

§ Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs.

Technical Qualifications:

o Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

o Ability to adapt to the changing, fast growth environment in meeting customer expectations.

o Strong people skills.

o Ability to stand, sit and/or walk for long periods of time with or without accommodation.

o Lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs. or the maximum allowed by current State law with or without accommodation.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Expertise:

§ Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems, commercial property maintenance, or related fields.

§ Knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.).

§ Proven ability to perform HVAC preventative maintenance and repair work.

Professionalism:

§ Strong work ethic, reliability, and honesty.

§ A customer-first mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills & Requirements:

§ Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

§ Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working at heights.

§ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
