We’ve got what you’re looking for.Job Description:Parsons is seeking a dedicated Procurement and Logistics Specialist to join our growing team in Boulder, Colorado! In this constantly growing and expanding laboratory environment, a multifaceted Procurement and Logistics Specialist is a necessity. From concept scoping to budgeting, quoting, procuring, tracking, receiving, logging, auditing and inventorying, your workday will never be slow or boring.The program vision is to serve as a research and development incubator for new and innovative remote sensing algorithms, user interfaces, and data analytics to serve the objective to exploit OPIR data from the legacy systems to produce actionable information in support of the battlespace awareness/technical intelligence (BA/TI) mission as well as other emerging mission areas (e.g. civil and environmental).This role is onsite in Boulder Monday-Friday, regular business hours.Link for additional program details: https://boulderlab.org/What You'll Be Doing :
Determining supply needs and researching potential suppliers.
Acting as a liaison and communicating pricing and performance needs to internal teams, vendors, and suppliers.
Sourcing suppliers or working with Parsons corporate procurement to source them and testing product samples.
Documenting the features and benefits of products and services.
Preparing Rough Order Magnitude materials lists and costs for budgeting purposes.
Preparing Bills of Materials and tracking the quote to order to receival process.
Preparing cost-benefit analysis reports for review by managers.
Negotiating favorable procurement contracts with selected vendors and suppliers.
Documenting processes and generating monthly supply cost reports.
Monitoring the company's demand for products to avoid supply shortages.
Keeping abreast of vendor and supplier-related activities in the industry.
Inventory, audit, and prepare incoming equipment requests.
Input procurement information into configuration management control system.
Review supplier and internal procurement organization performance using data and metrics.
Act as a courier for government supplies and internal mailers.
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
Active DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability and willingness to obtain/maintain a Top Secret with SCI access.
The ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
The ability to navigate a pallet truck.
2+ years of procurement analysis experience in a related industry.
Proficiency in electronic procurement and analytical software.
In-depth business management, supply chain, and strategic sourcing knowledge.
Advanced analytical skills.
Exceptional negotiation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiarization with MS Toolset including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
What Desired Skills You Might Bring :
Top Secret with SCI Access
Degree in Supply Chain Management or related major
Experience with JIRA Assets database
Experience with the CostPoint system for PR and PO tracking
CPSM ISM certification desired
