What Works Best for Family: An astute educator who is excited about cultivating enjoyment of learning, trusting communications, foundational character, and optimism in a young girl. The family chose home-based education to optimize education for their daughter. An ideally likeminded educator would see the upside to tailored education and a strong bond between teacher and child, along the lines of private education used prior to the creation of elementary schools.

Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development:

Create engaging and customized daily, weekly, and monthly curricula tailored to the educational needs and level of the child.

Implement relevant teaching methods to foster critical thinking and a love for learning.

2. Teaching and Instruction:

Provide high-quality instruction in various subjects, but especially literacy and mathematics, ensuring a strong foundation for later education

Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity.

3. Social Cohorts:

Curate social activities for the child to promote a healthy social balance.

Organize group activities to complement individual education.

4. School System Knowledge:

Leverage knowledge of the typical school curriculum to avoid significant knowledge gaps appearing with similarly aged children attending public schools.

Assess the knowledge of the child in the various subjects to tailor the curriculum to the child's need

5. Travel and Educational Experiences:

Plan and execute same-day educational trips and experiences to enrich the children's learning beyond traditional classroom settings.

Incorporate real-world experiences to make learning more practical and exciting.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in classes of kindergarten through grade four.

Bachelor's or master's degree in education or a related field (history, literature, or math for example).

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
