Summer Folk Arts & Nature Immersion Camp Counselor

The Living Arts School, Boulder's folk school, is seeking a Summer Camp Counselor for our Children's Nature-Immersion & Folk Arts-based Summer Camp (ages 6-12). We are seeking someone with the following skills/attributes:

-Steady and calm, with a deep love of nature (our camp is entirely outside)

-Kind and warm with a love for children and prior, relevant experience with children

-Gifted in making thingsour program is focused on folk arts, crafts and traditional living skills

-An interest in planning circle, collaborative, group games for outdoors and indoors, crafts and projects

-Fun! With a love for including everyone and creative problem-solving

-Must be masterful with groups of children, helping all to feel successful, with a non-competitive focus

The position will be Monday-Friday, 8am-3, 4 or 5pm depending on aftercare needs. On private land at StarHouse in Boulder.

Schedule: 11 weeks of summer camp, May 28-August 9

Pay: $26-29/hr, dependent upon experience
