We are seeking a passionate and HIGH ENERGY Gymnastics Coach to join our team of after-school enrichment instructors!
The ideal candidate will have a background in gymnastics and coaching, with a focus on educating and motivating students to achieve their full potential. Experience as a camp counselor or actor is ideal. We are seeking individuals who are CREATIVE, LOUD, and not afraid to be GOOFY, making learning fun. This position will mainly take place in schools in Thousand Oaks. These are after school programs that require a fun and knowledgeable mind that can capture and engage a group of rowdy pre-K to 5th grade kids.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and lead gymnastics classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Provide feedback and guidance to students to improve their performance
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during training sessions
Skills:
- Experience working with students in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Knowledge of gymnastics techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their goals
- Nice-to-have skills: Dance background, experience in childcare or physical education, familiarity with sports coaching, improv experience, childhood education credits
Must have a reliable car that can fit mats, as well as have active car insurance
Must consent to a background check and fingerprinting
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (Non-Negotiable)
Must have or obtain a negative TB test and be or be willing to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification.
Must be able to carry up to 50lbs and be able to perform basic gymnastics skills (higher level skills are ideal)
Must be available during the time listed
Job Type: Part-time, Tuesday-Friday 1-4pm
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
