Accounts Payable

Description This successful Growing company is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their ranks as an Accounts Payable Clerk. Candidates looking to work with a dynamic organization with a growing team will be interested in this Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position, where they will match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The permanent opening for an Account Payable Clerk is located in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, California area.Your responsibilities

Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

Carry out additional projects as required

Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Carry out a full-cycle A/P

Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

Strong familiarity with Monthly Bank Reconciliation

Bank reconciliations experience preferred

Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

Well-founded grasp of Month-end Journal Entries

Month-end Close Activities experience highly desired

General familiarity with Month-end Reports

Foundational knowledge in month end closings

Proven knowledge of Month-end Financial

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
